Can't stop feeling

It's Monday and it's raining cats and dogs and maybe an elephant or two. However, I'm listening to Franz ferdinand and remembering the crazy, wild and fantastic weekend I had at the SOS 4.8 festival. By a trike of good luck Belen gave me her ticket and at 7:00.pm friday I was with Sara, Gloria and marini walking towards the festival. The evebing started out with wows at the gynormous place, dancing along to the Sunday Drivers, with their summer-like music. The real party started at 9:00 pm when The Horrors started playing, a group of 5, sexy, skinny men with wild hair that played music that reminded all of us of the start of good rock, bak at my mom's time. Garage Rock at its best; they had us all jumping and cheering and having a great time with the sound of the good old times we never got to live ourselves. After that sara and I migrated to teh Jagermeifter scenario, where we went totally wild with Crystal castles. Experimental techno with a touch of punk, it was crazy and raw, with that crazy woman and her screamy voice making our cells rumble. And then, the best part of the night finally arrived: Franz ferdinand! Me and sara got separated and spent the concert alone, but it was still fucking-ass great. Even though I was far from the stage, there were huge panels filming what was going on up there and we all danced and sung along to all of our favorite songs: Do You Want To, The Fallen, No You Girls, Ulysses, Jaqueline, This Fire, Can't Stop feeling...that sexy Alex Kapranos and his magnific voice had us going for over two hours in that typical frenzy of well known-groups. The height of the concert for me was when the guitar stopped playing, started grabbing lone drums and they all ended up banging them in a sort of tribal way that was raw and perfect. A more than great concert; they didn't let me down. After that Sara and I danced around everywhere, standing way back at the Hot Chip concert, random drunkards dancving along with us, or just us two going around dancing like morons and havign a great time. We also spent some time inside a small disco place they set up, dancing to A-Punk and Hit The Road, Jack!. A great night indeed. Saturday was spent lazing around at home, eating spaghetti made my Christian, Sara's flatmate, quite a nice guy, with all 7 puppies sara's taking care of running around the house and being generally adorable. At 4 or so it started raining and Sara and I decided to nap, listening to Chris and Bon Iver and at 7 we set off again for another wild night. At first it was utter crap because both my feet were filled with blisters and I could barely stand without feeling pain. Nada Surf I could enjoy, what little we heard of them; sara enjoyed dancing to her favorite song; I was a bit disappointed though since they didn't play ''Blonde on Blonde'', but oh well. I can't recall what happened between that and Dorian at 11:00 pm, because my feet hurt so much I could only focus on that. Since I didn't like Dorian much and we were waiting for Madness to play, I decided to talke a break and went to the bathrooms and sat there for a long while just chilling. A couple guys invited me to a beer in exchange of guarding their drinks while they went to the bathroom, lol. The good thing was I remembered I had tissues and put them inside my sock and could no longer feel the pain! So I set out to party once again with Sara. We danced happily thoguhout all of Madness' concert, and even though I ended up missing Love of Lesbian i had a good time. After that we set out to see some guy we didn't know called Chris Cunningham and, wow. Just wow. His concert consisted of projectiosn in 3 different pannels accompanied by very, very starnge 'music' that was way too loud and made my body hurt of the vibrations. The videos were intensely grotesque, of deformed humans, naked people fighting, orgies, a strange alien-fetus thing; it sounds disgusting, but to see something like that so well done was amazing, truly. At 4:14 am. the concert finished and we set out to see Fatboy Slim. I thought I would die. The concert lasted until almost 7:00 am, with wild techno music that had all of us jumping around madly. At first I had loads of fun but I grew more and more tired and by the end of it I was just exhausted. However, it didn't end there; it was dawning already and the concert was over when, suddenly, we all started hearing the famous ''An der schönen blauen Donau'' Vals from Johan Strauss and it was completely surreal. Everyone was dancing around like ballerinas and butterflies, couples dancing around softly, drunkards imitating butterflies, me and sara twirlign around or dancing with random people and it was absolutely great. It was completely unreal and funny and just, fun. I remember looking at sara wondered by hearing the music and the sky getting clearer and everyone dancing around us and it was just, wow. Life is great! And well, when it was all over we went back home slowly because of our pained feet, after 12 hours of party party, slept until 3 pm and spent the day cleaning the house while Christian butchered the sofa in the courtyard, which needed to get out of there. Fast (it was rotten, lol). At 7 I headed towards Murcia dressed in Sara's hippie clothes and sat in Sta. Isabel next to the flower shop just reading and watching people go by. I arrived at home at 8.30 or so, had a shower, pinned the ''Pedazo temazo'' banner to my wall, had dinner, read some manga and went to bed. A great weekend indeed!
